Once in a rare while, the Alligator actually is the bearer of good news. It seems that a new, 24-hour restaurant has opened in the Holiday Inn in the space vacated by Denny’s so long ago, and I’m pleased to say that I think this is a good development for UF’s eating community: the Dill Deli is part of a family-owned chain of restaurants that also operates in Palm Harbor, my hometown. The food there is usually pretty good, and served in large proportions but accompanied by somewhat large price-tags. C’est la vie. I plan to investigate this new restaurant, determine if it might be appropriate for UES functions, and report my findings.
