This article from the Washington Post exposes the wide divide in the Democratic Party for the War in Iraq, and broadly speaking, the War on Trr. Most of us Republicans have seen this for a long time, a horrible gaping incompetence from the other side of the aisle to exploit even the biggest of Bush blunders. When Bush deserves the criticism, as with his handling of the early insurgency, he got little of it. When he doesn’t deserve it, and when we most need support, he gets it.
The Democrats continue to find new and innovative ways of undermining national security. Got to hand it to them. It’s a legacy Harry Truman left them. Truman could not bear to have freedom on a unified Korean peninsula thereby avoiding 50+ yrs of confrontation with a murderous, insane regime. It looks like modern day Democrats cannot stand the thought of free Iraqis and democracies flowering in the Middle East.
This awkward attempt by Pelosi to spin the Democrats’ weakness as strength leaves much to be desired. We see through it.
